Northwestern Mutual

Dear Colleagues,

As summer approaches and the majority of our affiliated local councils recess for the season, I would like to update you on several important business items.

First, nominations are open for the NAEPC Board of Directors! This exciting and important process helps us identify the top candidates for the NAEPC Board of Directors, for which we will have openings in 2011. If you are interested in applying, or know someone that has an interest, please contact the national office at 866-226-2224 for an application.

The Accredited Estate PlannerŪ (AEP) designation program is off to a great start in 2010! We're welcoming many new designees and have fielded many calls and emails from those with an interest in the program. Please consider applying for the multi-disciplinary designation of choice! Doing so allows you to set yourself apart from the competition. Complete information about the program can be viewed at www.naepc.org.

The NAEPC Foundation / NAEPC 47th Annual Conference will be here before you know it! Please consider joining us from November 17 - 19th in sunny San Diego. Continuing education credit will be offered by the top industry speakers, a fabulous networking opportunity exists and it's a great event to consider bringing a spouse/companion to. Information about the program can be found below and on www.naepc.org. The website is updated regularly, please check back often.

Our councils are entitled to many benefits, one of which is the yearly no charge speaker program. Most councils are beginning to plan for 2010/11 and I encourage you to take advantage of a program that allows all affiliates one speaker per year to visit your council with their honorarium waived (council is responsible for travel, lodging and expenses to produce the meeting). Please visit the "council benefits" section of www.naepc.org for more information.

I wish you a safe and enjoyable summer!

Sincerely,

NAEPC National Website
